Relationship Education

At LHPSN we know that we are not only responsible for teaching children real-world skills, such as reading, writing, and mathematics, but we are also responsible for preparing children for life after school. That’s why we provide relationship lessons in school which follow the PSHE curriculum set out in England using a scheme called Jigsaw. The purpose of PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education) is to help children realise who they are as people and successfully find their place in the world.
This term we are learning about healthy relationships and aim to help children identify how they relate to other people and to appreciate their value in a world that is constantly changing. Relationship education focuses on developing the key knowledge, skills, and qualities to prepare children for life and work. It will help children to live healthily, safely, productively, and responsibly in order to become sociable, active and productive members of society.
