PSHE/C Curriulum and Jigsaw

Curriculum Intent for PSHE and Citizenship: We use Jigsaw to support our PSHE/C – Personal, Social, Health economic and citizenship curriculum as well as our learning in SRE – Sex and Relationship Education. Jigsaw is a unique, spiral, progressive scheme of work, aiming to prepare children/young people for life, helping them really know and value who they are and understand how they relate to other people in this ever-changing world. Jigsaw offers statutory Relationships and Health Education, in a spiral, progressive and fully planned scheme of work, giving children relevant learning experiences to help them navigate their world and to develop positive relationships with themselves and others.

Jigsaw offers a comprehensive Programme for Primary PSHE including statutory Relationships and Health Education, in a spiral, progressive and fully planned scheme of work, giving children relevant learning experiences to help them navigate their world and to develop positive relationships with themselves and others.

With strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health, Jigsaw properly equips schools to deliver engaging and relevant PSHE within a whole-school approach. Jigsaw lessons also include mindfulness allowing children to advance their emotional awareness, concentration and focus.

Antibullying Policy

Our school’s Pupil Parliament recently worked with the children in each member’s class to put together a child friendly anti-bullying policy to help us all to identify what bullying is and what we should to to stop it happening.
