For the Autumn 2 Half Term, in our Geography topic we will be learning about 'Our Wonderful World'. Our focus will be on our Golden Threads Global Citizenship, and Knowledge, learning all about the continents, oceans, seas and capital cities. In other curriculum areas, we will learn about multiplication and division in maths; our reading and writing in English will be inspired by the brilliant book 'The Boy Who Cried Ninja' by Alex Latimer. We will continue to learn about the fascinating occupants of a wide range of habitats locally and around the world in science and what it means to belong to a Muslim community in RE, as well as celebrating Divali and lots more!
Spellings will be sent out on Mondays to practice at home before the tests on the following Monday. Current spellings can be found online on the link to the right. Maths fluency questions are likewise set on Wednesday and due back by the following Monday. We also strongly encourage the children to read at least three times a week at home.
Please make sure children wear their PE kits for our sporting activities: we have PE and Games on Mondays and Tuesdays. Monday PE lessons will be outdoors (weather permitting) and you may wish to consider your child having a tracksuit for the day. This must be PLAIN navy please. Please make sure all earrings are removed or covered with tape before school on these days.
