Estimation
We had such fun in Maths today! We learnt all about estimation and played an estimation game with our friend. One of us put some cubes into a jar and our partner had to estimate how many were in there. We were really good at making sensible estimates!
Habitats
We had a lovely afternoon in the sun today. After learning about habitats we went onto the field to try and build some habitats for the animals that might live there. We worked together in pairs, look how well we did…
Easter Bonnet Parade
The children made some wonderful Easter bonnets for the Easter Bonnet Parade this morning! When we got back the Easter Bunny had delivered us all a chocolate Easter Bunny as a treat.
Paleontologists!
This afternoon we became paleontologists unearthing dinosaur fossils!!! We hunted in the sand for some and then had a go at drawing them. Then we used toothpicks to unearth chocolate chips from cookies. We also had a go at sorting dinosaurs into categories in teams.
2D and 3D shapes
In Maths today we made some 2D and 3D shapes out of sticks and blutac. This helped us to work out how many sides, edges and corners the shapes had. We made pyramids, cubes, squares, triangles and lots more!
Dr Kilpatrick
What an interesting afternoon!
We had a visit from Dr Kilpatrick as part of our ‘Why am I so amazing?’ topic. She brought in lots of her equipment for us to look at and showed us how she used it. We asked her lots of questions and learnt lots of new things!
