This fortnight (weeks commencing 30th Sept and 7th Oct) our theme is The Three Little Pigs. As fun Friday and to link to our theme, Reception have made piggy faces out of rice cakes, jam, fruit and strawberry cables. The children had great fun and their piggies tasted delicious!

We are enjoying the story of the three little pigs and have been acting out the story, making the characters or houses using different materials and using our huff and puff to blow bubbles or play blow football.

As our theme this fortnight has been ‘Only One You’, focusing on our unique features, we decorated biscuits to look like ourselves. They were yummy!

We have enjoyed exploring the forest school finding mini beast families and using stones and twigs to make pictures of our own families.

The children have been a delight and done really well learning all the new routine and settling, getting to know each other and making friends. 

Thank you for letting us come and visit you in your homes. We enjoyed getting to know you better and playing with your toys. We look forward to seeing you very soon.

It has been lovely to meet lots of new faces as we begin out transition sessions. Everyone did really well saying goodbye to their families for a little while and had lots of fun playing in Reception.

We had a wonderful trip at the Wyre forest pond dipping and mini  beast hunting as well as exploring the forest.

Our fun Friday activity was making edible mud pies.  The children worked as a team to measure out some milk and whisk in some chocolate angel delight until it turned gloopy.  After spooning some into a cup we added crumbled up some chocolate to add ‘dirt’ and a Superworm.  Yum!

Early Years had a fantastic afternoon trying out new activities for our Sports Day.  We moved round the carousel of activities including welly throwing, the egg and spoon race as well as balancing a bean bag on our heads.   The afternoon ended with much anticipated Mums and Dads running race.
