Mother’s day

We enjoyed inviting our Mummy’s into nursery and making them a cream tea before sharing a story. We hope you had a lovely time. Happy Mother’s Day X

Chick,chick,chick chicken…

We loved sharing and handling William’s chicks.

Ordering beans

Nursery have been practising our number recognition and had to think carefully which order to put our beans in. We especially loved it when we had to work as a colour team to find the beans hidden in the garden.

International Day

We enjoyed celebrating Spain as part of International day. We made flags and played games to learn numbers and colours. We learnt some flamenco moves. Best of all we made tapas including Spanish omelette, patatas bravas and bruschetta. Yum, yum!

Winter

We have really enjoyed learning all about Winter and have braved the cold to go on a winter walk to notice the different signs of Winter. We even managed to experience a splattering of snow which we enjoyed exploring inside too and watching what happens to it. We have made a lovely Wintery display practising different techniques like ripping and cutting and our penguins and snowmen in the corridor look amazing.

Christmas tidings

Nursery had a fabulous time at the farm today. We saw lots of animals, dressed up and re-enacted the Christmas story and even met Santa! It was such a special trip and the children were so well behaved and sensible. A big thank you to them and to all the parents who helped.

Havest Festival

We have been learning about Harvest and thanksgiving and enjoyed exploring different grains and solving how to separate them. We then used grains to collage our initials in our name. We thought about being kind and sharing in our family groups and we all worked together to make a delicious vegetable soup. What a lovely way to keep warm as the days get colder.
