8.7.16 Fun in Pirate Week!

Sharing time with Year 1
Year 2 have had lots of fun being interviewed by Year 1 about what it’s like to be in Year 2. After being interviewed, the Year 2 children read stories they had written about going on a quest to the Year 1’s.
Conkers
Year 2 had a wonderful time at Conkers. They went on a train, found and learnt about different types of seeds and enjoyed exploring the Discovery Exhibit!
Nature Art
We spent this afternoon in the great outdoors and used Andy Goldsworthy to inspire our artwork! We collected natural resources like twigs, leaves and stones and took them back to the classroom to create a minibeast! Look how well we did…

YR Amazing Assembly!
Well done to everyone in RHW and RMK for a simply SUPER assembly. Everyone enjoyed hearing your beautiful songs and your special words about your learning ,especially your reading,which you really do love. Thank you for doing good listening when I read the Mouse and the Dog stories to you this week, it was my favourite part of this week. Well done YR what a super end to all of our class assemblies this year.
Aztec Market
Today, 4RF ttravelled back to the year 1516 and held an Aztec market selling all sorts of produce familiar to the Aztecs but as yet unknown to Europeans. How could they not know what a potato or tomato was?
We practiced lots of maths, learnt about Aztec life and really got into our roles of market traders – there are some budding Del Boys out there…
