Our imaginations ran wild at Year 2 craft club as we rolled, squashed and moulded clay to make a family of crazy clay creatures!👹🤖

It's the 1st of December so Christmas season has officially begun! It certainly has in Early Years today. The different learning areas were set up beautifully with role play, letter writing and the nativity story. What an exciting month ahead!🎄🎅🏼✨

Language Base have loved reading 'Charlie and the chocolate factory' in their English lessons. This week they designed their own chocolate bars and made them by melting chocolate, pouring it into moulds and adding toppings of their choice. Language Base, you are inventors in the making!🍫👩🏽‍🍳

Key Stage 1 are getting ready for their festive poetry slam next week. 1HB have memorised 'Snowball' by Shel Silverstein. It's a funny poem about a snowball melting and wetting the bed. It really makes us laugh!🤣❄️

Year 2 have been learning to use practical resources to support them to add 2-digit numbers that cross tens. They have learned that when their ones column reaches more than 9 they exchange 10 ones for 1 ten. Great job, Year 2!🔟1️⃣

A huge thank you to our Year 3 families for attending our writing workshop. It was so lovely to see you completing SPaG starters, critiquing a WAGOLL and writing a description of a snow storm together with your child. We really appreciate all of your support🥰

Reception have been learning about people who help us. We know that doctors help to keep our bodies healthy. We talked about our bodies and thought about the different bones we have. We made some fabulous skeletons too. A great job Reception, well done!🦴🩻

This week at Year 2 Craft Club we explored under the sea and created exotic sea creatures! We used our folding, cutting and creative skills to make and decorate our animals. It was great fun!🐳🐙

Year 1 had a brilliant afternoon taking part in a carousel of activities at Holy Trinity Church today. We discussed the font, explored the crypt, made a wish on the wishing tree and talked about stories from the Bible. It really brought our learning to life!✨
