Year 2 have displayed some excellent maths understanding. They have been learning how to partition using resources, such as base 10. Great job everyone!🔢

Reception have been learning s and a in their phonics lessons. We have made silly soup, pattern snakes, ants, used scissors and sent astronauts into space to name but a few things. We were also impressed with our children's ability to sort, match and classify🔡

Year 1 have enjoyed lots of maths activities this week. They have made patterns with numicon pegs, played snakes and ladders, matched an amount of cubes to a number card and made patterns with elephant link ... which turned into fun headbands😅🔢

The first week of the academic year and we're kicking it off with an educational visit. Severn Trent came into school to deliver an assembly about the importance of what we put down our drains and how the wrong materials can have a negative impact on our water system. Our Year 3 children had a workshop in their classrooms, completing fun activities to improve their understanding of our drainage and water system💧

Our staff have checked in, attended 2 training days and are raring to go! We hope you've all had a wonderful summer and are just as excited as we are about the new academic year ahead. We'll see you tomorrow✨❤️
