What a fabulous morning! It was so lovely to see so many of you taking part in Park Run this morning and it was a delight to see the grown ups joining in and enjoying themselves too! We had 154 runners today, which is a record for Bromsgrove Junior Park Run so Lickey really did take over! Thank you to all of the children, families and staff for attending but a huge thank you to the wonderful Mrs Matthews for organising the event for us🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

📣 REMINDER 📣 Don't forget that thanks to Mrs Matthews, Lickey Hills take over Park Run on Sunday. There are a number of staff that have signed up to marshal the event, staff that have dusted off their trainers to run/walk with you and Mrs Matthews will be cheering everyone on at the finish line. We can't wait to see you all there👟

Year 1 have enjoyed a week of consolidating their maths learning. They have taken part in a carousel of different activities daily, exploring various skills such as ordering, counting, recognising representations and making patterns🔢

A huge thank you to our PTA Team for organising a fabulous Halloween Magic Show for our EYFS & KS1 children this afternoon. The children laughed lots, shouted loudly and had a brilliant time🪄🎃

Year 1 had a lovely time at The Hive Library this morning. We listened to lots of stories, had a tour of the library, had time to read in the children's section and took part in an adjectives activity📚📕

This month, our Reception children in Language Base have taken part in Worcestershire's sensory adventure walk! We had a wonderful time challenging our different senses of smell, sight, touch and sound through a sensory walk around our school grounds. We explored how bark felt, the sound of snapping twigs and crunching leaves and took the time to sit under a tree and discuss what we could see through the branches. Our favourite activity was the barefoot sensory path where we took our socks off and felt the field between our toes! @ActiveHW #WorcsSchoolGames 🍁🍂🍃

Our Year 1 children have been busy making Christmas cards for the Cauliflower Project. They used a fork to create a Christmas tree, sponge printed a tree trunk and stuck a star on top. They still have to finger paint the baubles on the tree, but they're looking lovely so far🎄🎨

Our Reception children have really enjoyed learning about the body. They made skeletons and had great fun doing a skeleton dance💀🩻
