👩🏻🔬👨🏽🔬🧪 British Science Week, Day 5: Today we learned lots about reducing, reusing and recycling. We discovered what it means to be sustainable and we had our own 'trash'ion show with outfits made out of recycling. Dr Kirby even made herself a flower blouse! 👩🏻🔬👨🏽🔬🧪 British Science Week, Day 2: Year 1 went to EnviroSort, a recycling centre in Worcester. They observed recycling coming into the warehouse on a conveyor belt, going through the crusher and being packed into cubes of recycled materials. Then a forklift came along and took the packed cubes of recycling to be melted down and reused. They also had a session in the EnviroSort classroom and learned lots of facts about recycling. Did you know that black materials are not supposed to be recycled as the machine cannot spot them on the conveyor belt? Did you know that by recycling 1 aluminium can, you can power a microwave to heat 3 microwave meals? Year 1 learned lots at EnviroSort today!🚛🚮
