Year 4 visited Birmingham Museum and Art Galleries, where children were able to explore artefacts and learn about what Anglo-Saxon life was like. Children participated in a workshop and were able to identify kingdoms, Kings and how the Angles, Jutes and Saxons came to settle in Britain. They enjoyed using ‘shields’ to defend and attack!🛡️

Our local ranger gave our Reception children a wonderful tour of the Lickey Hills on Thursday. They looked for signs of spring, learnt about the Green Man and identified features of our locality. A big thank you to Jack (the ranger) and all that came to support our visit🌳

Our Year 1 children had a lovely time on their sunny walk around the Lickey Hills today. They were collecting natural materials, such as sticks, pinecones and leaves, and brought them back to school. Tomorrow they are going to use them to make natural sculptures, inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy🌿🍁

Our Nursery children are diving into a 'Superpowers Minibeast' theme this term and are thoroughly enjoying the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We can’t wait to watch our tiny, munching caterpillars grow and transform into beautiful butterflies. What an exciting journey ahead!🐛🦋

Year 4 have had a fantastic morning making healthy sausage rolls. They practised the skills of cutting and grating correctly before choosing which healthy options they would include in their fillings. They were so delicious, they even made everyone on the KS2 corridor hungry with the lovely smell. Year 4 did confirm they were a taste sensation!👩🏽🍳🧑🏻🍳
