Our Year 1 children had a lovely time on their sunny walk around the Lickey Hills today. They were collecting natural materials, such as sticks, pinecones and leaves, and brought them back to school. Tomorrow they are going to use them to make natural sculptures, inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy🌿🍁

Our Nursery children are diving into a 'Superpowers Minibeast' theme this term and are thoroughly enjoying the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We can’t wait to watch our tiny, munching caterpillars grow and transform into beautiful butterflies. What an exciting journey ahead!🐛🦋

Our Reception children have had fun making sandwiches as part of their learning about a balanced diet🥪

Year 4 have had a fantastic morning making healthy sausage rolls. They practised the skills of cutting and grating correctly before choosing which healthy options they would include in their fillings. They were so delicious, they even made everyone on the KS2 corridor hungry with the lovely smell. Year 4 did confirm they were a taste sensation!👩🏽‍🍳🧑🏻‍🍳

Year 5/6 took part in a brilliant workshop all about the Tudors. They got to practise their jousting, look at artefacts and participate in some drama. What a brilliant day!🗡️🪖

Reception have had a great week celebrating Earth Day. They have discussed what a healthy world might look like, drawn pictures of the earth and made models of the earth using various materials🌍🗺️

Reception have been focusing on the artist Leonardo Da Vinci as part of their celebrations for World Art Day. They looked at his portrait of Mona Lisa before drawing portraits of their friends🖼️🧑🏾‍🎨

Year 4 had a wonderful time taking part in a drama workshop led by Ms Boyle, Head of Drama at Waseley Hills. We learned all about the fun drama lessons that take place at Waseley Hills and all about their new drama studio. We then reenacted the story of The Three Little Pigs, reporting on the events of the houses being blown down by the big, bad wolf🐷🎤
