Nursery and Reception have spent lots of time learning about Diwali this week. They have enjoyed activities such as food tasting, making rangoli patterns, diyas and representing fireworks with chalk on the playground. We hope everyone had a super time celebrating Diwali on Monday!🎇🎆

On week 2 of gardening club we started growing our own cress. Today, on week 4 it was finally ready to eat so we made cheese and cress sandwiches. We had to gather our ingredients, spread the butter, layer the cheese and sprinkle the cress but our favourite part was eating the sandwich!🌱🥪

We wanted to say a huge thank you to those families who were able to attend the Year 1 Early Reading Workshop this week. We hope you found it informative. Don't forget you're also invited into school for a phonics session in the classroom on 12th November. We look forward to welcoming you in school again then🥰

Year 4 have been using shape, line and colour to create an abstract drawing of a partner in their art lessons. Here are 2 fantastic examples of the brilliant artwork our pupils can produce!🖼️

Another fabulous parent engagement workshop, this time with our Year 2 families. We really do love having our families in school learning alongside their children!📗

This week at gardening club we made bird feeders. We covered a tube in lard, rolled it in bird seed and hung it up to feed our fluffy friends. It was very messy but we're sure the birds will enjoy them!🐦‍⬛

Year 1 had a brilliant time at The Hive Library in Worcester today. We were split into 7 groups each with a theme of either animals, seaside, transport, space, food, nature and dinosaurs and we had to search the library for books and props that fit our theme. We made a display with the books and props we found and presented this to the other groups. We also had 2 story sessions with the librarians and some free time to read with our friends📖📚
