Special Delivery🚌 As we continue to expand our children's play opportunities through OPAL, we thought an old double decker bus would encourage children to use their imagination, offer brilliant role play opportunities, social spaces and quiet zones for our children at lunch time. We cannot wait to revamp this and get it ready for our children to start using from September🚌

A huge thank you to our lovely PTA team for raising enough funds to buy a whole class set of chromebooks. These chromebooks will support the children's computing sessions, as well as maths activities, research activities and so much more!💻👩🏽‍💻

Despite the intense heat, our Reception children showed great resilience, patience and tolerance. We enjoyed some water time outside and made shelters to protect us from the sun, just like the one Grandad and Sid found in Grandad’s Island. Well done Reception!☀️💦⛺️

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our class photographs. Please make sure all children come to school in their school uniform and not their PE kit. Alternative arrangements will be made for classes that would usually have PE tomorrow. Oh, and don't forget to bring your best smile😀📸

In April, our Key Stage 2 children were invited to take part in a monster‑poem writing competition. Mrs Llewelyn is delighted to announce that we received some fantastic entries, and 13 children have been invited to have their work published in a book. We are so proud and cannot wait to get a copy of the published book👹📕

IMPORTANT INFORMATION📣 Due to the rising temperatures across Worcestershire this week, we want to make sure everyone is kept safe. Please read the following; - Children can come to school in PE kit to stay cool. - Children must have a water bottle every day. - Apply suncream before school and put it in children's bags to reapply throughout the day. - Children can bring battery powered, hand held fans to use in classrooms. - Sunglasses and sun hats are encouraged. - There will be no PE lessons throughout the week to support children to stay cool. - Children will remain inside throughout the hottest parts of the day and will have short bursts of fresh air in shaded spaces during cooler periods. - All blinds will remain closed and fans will be on in classrooms to keep room temperatures down. If you feel the temperature has risen too much throughout the day, you are welcome to collect your child at lunch time and this will go down as an authorised absence. Year 1 have been learning about money in maths. First we learned about the value of coins and then how to add coins to make different amounts. We also found out that there are many combinations of coins that can make the same amount💷💰
