The Great Easter Bake Off

If you’re looking for an Easter cooking activity why don’t you try this? All you need is some chocolate, any type of crumbly cereal, cake cases and then anything you like to decorate like chocolate eggs, mini chicks etc. They are very quick and easy to make as well as delicious as a treat to eat!

Here is Mrs Williams and two of her baking assistants to show you how to make them. Enjoy!

Online Resources to Support Home Learning

Dear Parents and Carers,

Over the last few days, we have come across lots of online resources that are available to support children’s learning at home during the unprecedented times. This list is by no means exhaustive, nor are we promoting anything in particular, but we thought we’d share some of them with you. All children have different learning styles and interests – maybe something below will click! We will also update our learning packs on the class pages as time goes on.

With very best wishes from the staff of Lickey Hills PSN.

Sports relief

We have really enjoyed the last few weeks learning about people who help us and helping others in preparation for our Sports Relief assembly. We were all amazing and should be really proud of ourselves.

World book day

You’d batter believe it’s Pancake Day!

This week we have been celebrating pancake day by reading ‘Mr Wolf’s Pancakes’. We have re-told the whole story using actions, we have written the instructions of how to make a pancake and today, for Fun Friday, we have topped our own pancakes! They were pan-credible!

We are bananas about penguins!

This week we have been reading the story ‘Lost and Found’ by Oliver Jeffers. ‘Lost and Found’ is about a penguin who feels lonely and so as it is Mental Health Week, we have been talking about the penguins feelings as well as our own. We have also learned lots of fun facts about penguins and Antarctica. Today, for Fun Friday we have made banana penguins, they were peng-tastic!

The start of a new term!

In Reception with a new term, has come new outdoor equipment and the children have been loving testing it all out this week! We have got a new range of bikes, trikes and scooters and they’ve given us all a huge lot of fun!

A special visitor

Merry Christmas to everyone in Reception. We were delighted to have a special visit today from Santa. Hopefully  that means we have been on the good list.
