Guess the character
We each took it in turns to sit on the HOT SEAT and wear the character hat while everyone else in the class had to give a clue as to who was on the character card. We could give clues about physical attributes or personality but not give the name away! The tricky ones were Wally, Lord Voldemort and the pickle from the Hungry Caterpillar – how would you describe them?
Horizontal or vertical?
Our introduction to co-ordinates got us trying it for real! Bit of a squash but we could demonstrate what each word meant.
World Book Day!
We celebrated World Book Day in school today where all the staff and children dressed up as book characters.
In LB1 we chose the book ‘101 Dalmations’ as it characterises loyalty, courage , self belief and team work.
Taylor enjoyed, ‘dressing up as a doggie as they are brave.’
Jaiden enjoyed dressing up as he likes ‘celebrating reading lots of books.’
Harrison enjoyed all of us dressing up as dogs.
Rowan enjoyed dressing up to celebrate books.
Azaan enjoyed dressing up as a dog.
Freddie dressing up as his favourite character – Woody!’
Noah’s Ark art
We really enjoyed reading the story of Noah’s Ark today! At the end of the story there was a beautiful rainbow which we tried to recreate. We used cotton wool to make each section and then experimented mixing colours to paint it.
