Nature Walk

Today, in year 5 we went on a nature walk on the field. We collected stuff for our amazon rainforest biomes.

Sajid Javid MP

On Friday, Year 6 were visited by the Secretary of State for Housing and MP for Bromsgrove, Sajid Javid. We spent the first lesson researching to come up with a list of questions that we wanted to ask. When he arrived, he delivered a powerful speech about the importance of democracy and then invited us to ask him any questions. He was very impressed by how much thought we had put in to our questions and how confidently we asked them. It was a fantastic experience to meet such an important member of our government and it has inspired many of us to think about becoming Members of Parliament!

Fan Boats

We’ve been designing, building and testing fan boats this week. We had to think about making them float, the weight distribution so that they didn’t tip over, the electrical circuit to connect the motor and waterproofing the wiring. We had a lot of fun putting our scientific knowledge to practical use.

Sports Relief

Reception have been busy getting fit and raising money for sports relief. They have enjoyed taking part in the daily mile challenge, house team races and they especially loved Miss Troths dance-a-thon!

Sports Relief’s Dance -athon

LB1 had  great fun learning new moves and putting them to dance music.  Thank you Miss Troth; we had a great day!

Perfect Poems

In year five we made some poems. We really enjoyed it!

Red Knight’s Visit!

On Wednesday 14th March the Red Knight visited year 1 and LB1 went along to meet him too!

Non-chronological report Year 1

We have learnt about komodo dragons and created our own posters.

Fossil Dig

After finding out about fossil hunter Mary Anning, Year 3 spent the afternoon excavating for fossils. We had lots of fun carefully and patiently scraping away the rock to reveal the fossil hidden inside. Afterwards, we measured some dinosaur footprints and used this measurement to estimate the size of the dinosaur that made them.
